West LA ADU

We had the honor of creating a wonderful respite for this amazing growing family by creating a bright and airy guest house in their back yard. We managed to get A LOT of functionality out of a typical detached two car garage.

We opened up the space with vaulted ceilings and poplar beams, bright white walls and light finishes throughout. This space serves as a guest quarters with a luxurious pullout sofa from DWR, an office space with builtin white oak floating shelves, a beautiful and functional kitchen with lots of storage and an island that also serves as an eating area, gorgeous full bathroom, custom linen black out curtains, and media room. The 10’ sliding Milgard doors really add to the open, in door, outdoor lifestyle that is so special about living in Southern California. With the clean lines and fresh feeling of the space, adding neutral organic textiles and furniture inside and out was the icing on the cake.
