Wallpaper

If you haven’t noticed, I love wallpaper. I use it in many of my projects, primarily in kids rooms, nurseries, and powder rooms.

I find a lot of clients worry about wallpaper making a room feel smaller, but in my opinion it’s the opposite. I feel it adds depth and warmth and makes a space feel more high design.

If you are concerned about too much wallpaper, a great hack is to do half walls. If you don’t already have wainscoting in your room you can add the same concept on a budget by adding a molding all the way around the room. I usually add the molding around 40” to 45” high. Paint the molding and wall below a complimentary color to the wallpaper, then paper the whole room above the molding.

You’ll get the feeling of a complete and nicely designed space for half the price of what wallpaper costs… and it can be expensive!
